My photographs are records of moments in time that I have captured in our ever moving and changing world. Some are momentous while others are just whimsical shots of things that have caught my eye. Although I use digital cameras, I work as though I were using film; I rarely use post production other than adjusting light, colour and framing. I pride myself on being able to fully capture the moment at the point of shooting. Enjoy.

The great skittle shoot

I was speaking to my friend yesterday and she told me that she had noticed a significant improvement in her hay fever symptoms after she cut out ???E??? numbers from her diet.I have decided to try this out myself. I started to clear out my secret stashes of goodies this morning and took this photo [...]

Fairground

This is a section of a giant Ferris wheel that was at the London Christmas fair last year. I can admit that I was not brave enough to have a ride. It is another photograph I found during the ???photograph housekeeping??? exercise I have been doing of late.

Fish

On a visit to the London Aquarium last month, I took this photograph of a fish.At first the fish kept moving around. I finally figured out where I was going wrong. I had politely asked the fish to “stand still”. Of course fish don’t stand, do they? When I asked, politely of course, for it [...]

The neon sign

This is a picture I took a while back with a lens I had just bought. Remembering how pleased I was with my new toy makes me smile now. I took it from the inside of the window.

Playing with water

With the help of my enthusiastic hand model, Lavender, I tried out some experimental photos with water. Here is one of the pictures I took. And the weather? It is now freezing and I just heard the weatherman say that there is snow on the way!

Tulips in the window

This is a picture of some tulips that I took this afternoon. Once again it is very cold today, but at least the sun made a very welcome appearance. Everything is much better when the sun shines. The forecast says it will be sunny over the weekend too. It would be great if this is [...]

The end is nigh!

Truly, 2008 is fast coming to an end. Sadly for me, I have spent most of the last few days in bed nursing myself back to health having been hit by the worst flu bug ever! I will have to rely on some older photos for now until I have the strength to get out [...]
