I got a new lens and in classic “new toy style”, I could not wait to get home with it. So I didn???t wait – I opened it up, attached it to my camera and started taking pictures as I was dragged through the other shops by my stronger half!

Horse play
This is a photograph of a police horse I took yesterday at the Notting Hill Carnival. I took several other pictures, but this is one of the first ones I took.
The police were controlling entry to the carnival route to avoid overcrowding. There were some mounted officers and this was one of their horses.
I will post more pictures from the carnival soon.

Looking out the window, it looks dull and gloomy outside and it is making me feel rather low.
I have decided to post this photograph of a lovely blue sky.

A peaceful ride
I had to drive into town during the morning rush the other day.??I had not done that in a while and it reminded me exactly why it is called “the rush hour”!
I took this photography in Tunisia a few years ago. I actually remembered the photograph during my hassled drive this morning.
The swans
This is a photograph I took exactly 3 years ago.
A few weeks earlier, an out of control dog had attacked and sadly killed the cob from this family.
The family were slowly beginning to gain trust in people again and they would now come up to the edge of the pond, but were still very wary of any sudden movements.

I usually do not like spiders but I have to admire their great engineering skills in creating their webs.
This particular spider has set up camp outside my house and its web creation reminds me of this Ferris wheel I posted a couple of days ago.
